Project description

350 amateur actors, around 70,000 visitors, an imposing backdrop, a sensual experience for eyes and ears: open air performance at its best. That is the Einsiedeln World Theatre!

In interviews with DRS3 presenter Nik Hartmann, author Thomas Hürlimann and director Volker Hesse provide an insight into daily theatre life, reflect on the doomsday mood and introduce listeners to the background of Pedro Calderón de la Barca.

In addition to these "theatre stories", the visitors also hear details of Calderón's life and of the World Theatre, develop their knowledge with the Einsiedeln quiz or reserve a table for two for a culinary tour of the local restaurants at the touch of a button.

This audio tour is supported by a public relations campaign comprising a programme, flyers in the tourist office and posters on billboards surrounding the venue.
